Instant Pot Chili

Ingredients
- 2 lbs Ground Beef or Loin Tips
- 2 cups DRY Beans (pinto, kidney, black, navy, etc.)
- 4 cups Water
- 2 large Tomatoes diced
- 1 large Onion diced
- 2 large Anaheim Peppers chopped
- 1 or 2 Habanero or Jalapeno Peppers chopped – if desired
- 1 head Garlic peeled and chopped
- 4 tbsp Chili Powder
- 2 tbsp Crisco or Butter
- 1 tbsp Cumin
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions
- Melt crisco or butter and brown burger or loin tips. It is not necessary to fully cook the beef at this point, just get it nice and caramelized. Add 4 cups of water and 2 cups of dried beans. Add Onion, Garlic, Peppers and Tomatoes. Cook on “High” pressure for 35 minutes on the “Meat/Stew” setting.
- Once the cook time has ended, allow ample time (15-20 min) for cooker to decompress before releasing pressure.
- Open, add dry ingredients and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
